Our history is made up of many stories, multiple generations and accumulated experience that have survived over the centuries. The story of APK Group is not just about us, but about the history of many companies that can live on.

2025

APK Group named Limburg Entrepreneur of the Year!

Proudly, our owner, Paul Kerkhofs and CEO of APK Group Belgium, Maarten Broens received the prestigious title on behalf of APK Group. A recognition that, according to the jury, is due to four strong pillars: our international presence and ambition, the sophisticated buy & build strategy with now 60 acquisitions, the solid and transparent way of managing the company and our strong roots in Limburg.

2025

APK Group strengthens energy expertise in the Netherlands

In 2025, APK Group continued to strengthen its business with the acquisition of JR Infra. This Dutch company specialises in the installation and assembly of low-, medium- and high-voltage installations, including home connections, public lighting, civil works and cable fault resolution. With this expertise, JR Infra strengthens our activities within energy and infrastructure works

2023

Enhanced with experience

Already this year, APK Group added 2 companies to further expand its business. In February, we took over BVBA Verstraete-Verhulst. A company that has been installing and renovating gas and electricity connections for over 40 years. Stratica nv was acquired in May and, with its more than 30 years of experience in various aspects of road construction, strengthens our mobility activity.

2022

APK Group continues to grow in Belgium and the Netherlands

In 2021, K-Boringen became part of APK Group. This company specialises in so-called "microtunnelling". Later that year, LEVAN and R.V.D.S., which specialises in installing, laying, blowing, welding and measuring out fibre-optic networks, were also acquired. In addition, Installation company J. Daniëls was added to the APK family. This strengthened our energy and water activities in Dutch Limburg from their base in Voerendaal.In 2022, Dierckx NV joined APK Group. This allowed us to further expand our water activity. Later that year, Aannemingsbedrijf De Voogd Grijpskerke B.V. and Bos Aannemingsbedrijven B.V. also joined our family to strengthen our footprint in Zeeland.

2020

APK Group adds luxury gardens to portfolio and strengthens position in West Flanders

With Willy Reynders Garden Architecture, acquired in 2020, luxury (private) gardens were added to our portfolio. That same year, APK Group acquired Vergeba , specialising in the installation of gas pipelines, and Verfaillie-Leroy, producer of static road signs and lines. These acquisitions allowed us to further expand our activities in West Flanders.

2018

Activities greatly expanded and first steps in Germany

Armamast, active in construction and installation of luminaires, was incorporated within APK Group in 2016. Later that year, we also welcomed Ageres, a developer of both apartment buildings and houses. Ageres Telecom Networking nv is active in telecoms. This later became APK Telecom Networking Solutions.In 2017, the companies Slegers Horticulture and Drion Glijbouw were added to the group.In 2018, we took the first steps in Germany with the acquisition of Westkabel and RSW. That same year, Casters Algemene Onderneming was added to APK Group, making us about 75 more employees.In 2019, Wegenbouw Martin was acquired to further strengthen our expertise in road construction.

2015

Expansion in Wallonia and the Netherlands

In 2015, the activities in the Brussels Capital Region were further expanded through the acquisition of the Dendermonde-based Ivaka nv. The same year, the recycling activities were broadened through the acquisition of Dilissen Transport en Zn nv. These companies are specialised in recycling, and were renamed APK Recycling.The Dutch company CIAG BV, a major player in telecom and ICT, was acquired in 2015. This was followed in the same year by the acquisitions of Verkinderen Wegenbouw and Voeten & Leppens Wegenbouw.Furthermore, 2013 saw significant expansion with various acquisitions of Infra en Wegenbouw Limburg bv, Waasland Infra, Mofra BVBA in Bilzen and Sabbe Bedrijf, R-technik bv, Allround Pipesystems bv and Rasenberg Kabels en Leidingen bv. The acquisition of Rasenberg in particular increased our activities in the Dutch infrastructure sector.The expansion into Wallonia took place in 2012 through the acquisition of DQD nv. In the same year, Resol nv joined the Group.

2011

Big plans, big expansion

Between 2006 and 2011, the Group expanded more and more. The companies Heymans Kabelwerken bvba, Loos Bouwmachines, Mahé bvba, Guana Cabling Systems bvba and Sterckx nv were taken over. Euro beton, Paving bvba and Worms Techno bvba merged in 2006 under APK Infra nv.

2006

First steps in the Netherlands

Between 2002 and 2006, APK took its first steps in the Netherlands by acquiring Worms Techno bvba and Worms Electro. In addition, the activities were expanded through the takeovers of PTA nv and Moors bvba, which were active in road construction and sewerage. In addition, Hebo Telematica joined the group, a player in data-telecom installations. Rens bvba, active since 1960, joined the group together with R-invest nv from Herselt. Rens bvba carried out directional drilling and pipeline works for gas and water supplies, specialising in steel pipelines.

2001

Merged company APK Infra NV

In 2001, NV Electro en Kabelwerken Kerkhofs, NV ASR Wegenbouw and NV Bemong merged. The new name for the merged company was APK Infra nv, with its head office in Pelt.

1990

From father to son

The head office moved to the neighbouring municipality of Pelt in 1992. The activities were placed under a new parent company, Algemene Participatie Kerkhofs, or APK nv for short. In addition, the first activities in the Data-Telecom branch were included. The company passed from father to son in 1990 and embarked on its first growth by means of takeovers and expansion of activities and regions.

1960

Establishment

In the Limburg municipality of Hechtel-Eksel, Electro- en Kabelwerken Kerkhofs saw the light of day under the impetus of its founder Jef Kerkhofs.
