Charging speed is a key success factor for the future of the electric car. That is why APK Infra West 46 hyperchargers along Belgian motorways commissioned by partner Allego. These fast charging stations allow electric drivers to recharge at thirteen carpool car parks, thirteen new locations along our highways.

From idea to realisation

The project began in Rumst, where the Allego's very first fast charging station in Belgium was installed by our team. This marked the start of an ambitious project that was completed within a very tight deadline had to be completed. In Close cooperation with Allego we realised the installation and connection of 46 hyperchargers at record speed. A challenge due to the specific requirements and associated working methods involved in each location.

Infrastructure as key to speed

On each project site, thorough preparation and an efficient approach were essential. Our teams took care of the utility construction for the necessary hightension booths and then pulled cables from the cabin to where the charging stations would be located. In conclusion they installed the hyperchargers of 150kW and 300kW, as well as ordinary 22kW charging stations.

The result? An infrastructure that allows electric drivers to recharge quickly and hassle-free along Belgian motorways.

Challenges and solutions

Our team faced unexpected obstacles such as flooding in the region during the construction of the Veurne station. Despite such obstacles, we met our deadline, thanks to the perseverance and the expertise of our staff.

The market for charging stations and fast charging stations is far from saturated and APK Group is ready to make your project a reality.
