Willy Reynders Landscaping revamps recreation park Warredal

The creation of representative and architectural greenery

In 2004, Willy Reynders Landscaping already once designed the entrance and private domain of Warredal. Now, 19 years later, it is time for renewal. Warredal once again called on the knowledge and expertise of our landscapers in creating representative and architectural greenery.

The design focused on logistics, such as bicycle rental, technical maintenance and laundry transport. Working closely with the building owner, the team of Willy Reynders Landscaping practical and aesthetically pleasing solutions. In the end, they chose to place all logistics facilities around the main building.

Organic forms

The design uses graceful oval shapes, which are reflected in both the gravel paths and paving. These ovals symbolise water droplets and refer to the numerous water activities taking place at the recreation park possible.

Plants for biodiversity

The domain in Maaseik has a dry summer and a wet winter. For this reason, the garden experts chose plants that require little water during summer and can withstand winter conditions. They integrated both native and Mediterranean plants, pine trees and a bee tree, which provides abundant nectar.

Smart watering

To water the plants, they laid the necessary cabling, after which DD Pumping and Irrigation Systems was responsible for its programming. In this way, they ensure that the planting always remains in optimal condition.
