APK Wegenbouw, APK Infra and APK Drilling join forces

Collaboration in action: APK Wegenbouw, APK Infra and APK Drilling

Hasselt's Elfde-Liniestraat is buzzing with activity thanks to a collaboration between APK Wegenbouw, APK Infra and APK Drilling. Their joint efforts are focused on the preparatory works for the bicycle bridge over the Great Ring Road. This bridge will provide a link for the school campus and the surrounding community.

APK Wegenbouw provides the new sewer system

Led by foreman Steven, machinist Stijn and all-rounder Marc, APK Wegenbouw is busy laying down new sewage systems in Eleventh-Line Street. Since 19 February, they have started laying as much as 30 metres of sewer. The challenges of the job are met with precision. Marc stresses the importance of safety, a core value that stands tall at APK Group.

APK Infra: Fibre optic cables for the future

Simultaneously, APK Infra is laying fibre optic cables for parties such as Telenet, Fluvius and Wyre. With a team of four men, led by foreman Stan, they are pushing ahead to complete this project by the end of April. Tim, Sony and Jean each bring their own expertise and experience, helping the work progress.

Fero, a reliable partner for signage and safety, assists them to ensure a smooth and safe working environment.

APK Drilling: Deep work under the Great Ring

A notable aspect of the project is the effort of APK Drilling, which, under the leadership of Kris and his team, achieved a stunning drilling of 60 metres under the Great Ring of Hasselt is carrying out. This task requires not only technical skills, but also cooperation between team members such as Rudi, Ali and Kumcu, all of whom play an important role in the project's success.

They used advanced technologies, such as the optical gyroscope drill designed by Brownline. This state-of-the-art equipment makes precision work possible, even at a depth of 14 metres, while the team deployed smart strategies to bypass interference signals and maintain a constant signal.

Sustainability is at the heart of this project, in which recycling of bentonite and water is applied to ensure minimal environmental impact. Together, we are pushing boundaries and creating a lasting impact for Hasselt.

The collaboration between these three APK companies demonstrates not only their individual expertise, but also their ability to work together on challenging projects. This initiative will not only improve mobility in Hasselt, but also contribute to a better infrastructure for the local community.
