DRION GLOBAL
Horizontal slide construction and road building
Beyond the obvious
Years of experience
The many years of experience in placing concrete with sliding formwork machines for both the public and private sectors allows us to achieve more than just the standard. Drion Glijbouw aims to be a partner in the realisation of your concrete project. Our team can take care of everything from the design to the complete realisation.
Drion sliding construction is the specialist for the agricultural sector, sports parks, hospitals, retirement homes, recreational parks, industrial surroundings, public works and concrete.
Concrete
Slide construction" means placing concrete with a slide formwork machine (also called a slipform paver or simply a paver).
Traditionally, sliding construction in road construction is divided into two segments, namely 'linear elements' and 'cement concrete pavements'.
In addition to these two segments, we also carry out less obvious projects, where the concrete element has a cross-section that can be uniformly encompassed by a mould and where concrete can be poured into the same mould at the running metre.
Linear elements
The profiles of the line-shaped elements poured on site are standard in accordance with the standard NBN B21-411 or are combinations of standard border stones with trenches or edge strips. For a sufficient number of running metres of special applications of linear elements, a customised mould can be made if necessary.
Other specialisations are unreinforced concrete pavements, doweled concrete slabs and continuous reinforced concrete (DGB).

Cement concrete pavements
Unreinforced concrete pavements
We can create "slab concrete" pavements in widths from 1 m to 8 m. They are used for cycle paths, agricultural roads, external pavements around buildings and the like.
Doweled concrete slabs
Drion Glijbouw is equipped with an automatic dowel insertion system. This allows the dowels to be inserted automatically into the concrete in front of the finishing table of the concrete paver. As a result, the compacted and finished concrete is no longer touched behind the forming jig. The system also allows the concrete to be tipped in front of the machine, without any pre-inserted dowels or spacers getting in the way.
Continuous Reinforced Concrete (DGB)
This type of pavement is often used on heavily used roads such as motorways, heavily used industrial pavements and on roundabouts.
