K-Boringen has already built a diverse portfolio of tunnels with diameters of up to 4 metres and lengths well in excess of 1 kilometre for the supply and discharge of water and gas, or as transit routes for pipelines, constructed beneath the city, the seabed and even through the Swiss rock.

Solutions

Carefully tailored to the specific project requirements, K-Boringen numerous solutions are available for microtunneling. Especially where certain obstacles exist – roads, dykes, rivers, canals, railways, foundations, existing tunnels or pipelines… – the “no dig” method offers significant advantages for the working environment. This keeps environmental impact and traffic obstruction to an absolute minimum.

ECLUSE II – Longest microtunnel in Belgium (2025)

This impressive tunnel has an inside diameter of DN 3000 and spans a total length of 1288 meters. The drilling trajectory is located at a depth of 10 meters below the bottom of the Scheldt. For the construction, exactly 322 tubes Used, each of which has a length of 4 meters and a weight of 42 tonshave. Thanks to an outside dimension of 3.8 meters per tube This microtunnel forms a unique example of trenchless technology.
