APK Group joins Flux50
Flux50 helps Flanders gain international recognition as a 'smart energy' region. The members of Flux50 create cross-sector collaborations between energy, IT, construction and infrastructure companies to increase the competitiveness of the Flemish smart energy industry. Together they form a strategic and executive core to facilitate the energy transition. As of 1 July, APK Group will also play a role in this organisation which, through cooperation between companies and authorities, is working towards a greener future with low emission systems.
In order to provide innovative and fully integrated energy products and services to the international market, Flux50 coordinates five 'innovator zones' in which its members carry out research and projects:
- Energy ports
focuses on the potential of port areas as crossroads between different forms of energy and central points for a circular economy. - Microgrids
focuses on research into all kinds of self-sufficient energy set-ups on a small and large scale. - Multi-energy solutions at district level
focuses on the integration of different energy forms and the exchange possibilities between different energy flows for optimal management. - Energy cloud platforms
focuses on the efficient and correct collection and redistribution of data related to energy. - Intelligent renovation
focuses on the smart renovation of buildings to ensure energy and emission reductions.
Flux50 brings together relevant players from industry, the research field and relevant government agencies. They support projects, encourage networking and ensure that knowledge is shared.
