Five new locations in the Netherlands

APK Group is investing in the future: five new sites in the Netherlands
Over the past few months, APK Group has taken significant steps towards further expanding its operations in the Netherlands. Between December 2025 and June 2026, no fewer than five new business premises were therefore secured to accommodate this growth, involving the relocation of around 140 staff – approximately a quarter of all APK employees in the Netherlands. The branches concerned will remain in the same region but will move to better-equipped premises in the immediate vicinity. The site in Nieuwkuijk has been operational since December; the other sites will be occupied after the bouwvak (the Dutch construction industry holiday, ed.).

Agile adaptation in a challenging property market
In the current property market, with its complexities and long lead times, R-Invest and APK Group were able to adapt quickly.

Between mid-December and mid-June, following an extensive search, firm negotiations, and an analysis of the total cost, four new rental properties were found, supplemented by a strategic purchase in Dongen. The choice was always driven by a clear business requirement, followed by a targeted search for the right location.

For four out of the five locations, lease agreements were deliberately chosen to maintain the necessary flexibility in the current market and to optimally exploit future opportunities.

Collaboration as the key to success

These achievements also demonstrate the strength of collaboration within APK Group. This operation is the result of close collaboration between R-Invest and the relevant operational teams in the Netherlands.

R-Invest took on a broad supporting role, from searching for suitable rental and purchase locations and conducting negotiations, to providing legal support and administrative follow-up. This cross-pollination between real estate expertise and operational needs made it possible to realise solutions that perfectly matched daily operations. This allowed the company's own know-how and its subsequently built-up internal expertise to perform optimally.

Uniform in a future-oriented working environment

A key principle underpinning this initiative is the further standardisation of the property portfolio, in line with APK Group’s long-term strategy. The new sites offer staff modern, efficient and well-equipped workspaces, more space, and equal and high-quality working conditions

The role of SU Building Management and Organisation is also explicitly included, ensuring that each site is optimally furnished and functions.

Overview of new locations

The removals took place across five sites:

  • Utrecht: approx. 30 employees (combining 3 locations)
  • Heerlen: approx. 25 to 30 employees
  • Weert: ± 42 employees
  • Dongen: approx. 30 employees
  • Nieuwkuijk (operational from December 2025) – ± 12 employees

Impact on employees

The locations were deliberately chosen so that they would have little or no negative impact on the staff concerned in terms of their commute or day-to-day work arrangements. On the contrary, the new locations enhance APK Group’s appeal as an employer, support staff retention and recruitment, and offer the existing teams more space and comfort

Outlook on the future

With these investments, APK Group reaffirms its ambition to achieve sustainable growth in the Netherlands, without losing sight of its core values. It is a story of change and progress, with a continued focus on its own philosophy: strong collaboration, well-considered choices and a working environment that puts people first.

Meanwhile, we are also looking ahead for other business units: for CIAG in Utrecht and for De Voogd/Bos, additional searches are already underway to find a further base of operations.
